These Shoes Were Made for Walking

Preface:
It's been a while. Ginny's been on my case, she even went as far as calling me a bad blogger (sad but true). I'm going to try harder to get this blog up and running, maybe even give it a point/subject/meaning. I promise.

Today was a great day! Starting last night, my dearest Abby played hostess to me and Waylon for some late night craziness. Fueled by sangria and beer, we gabbed all night long while watching trashy t.v. programs and munching on yummy Japanese snacks from Sunrise Market. We even went as far as remaking the Herb Ritts' infamous 90's supermodel photo, only we wore clothes... matching oversized Sebastian Tellier for American Apparel t-shirts to be exact.

Woke up the next morning to accompany Abby on her way to work, luckily for me having the day off I made my way uptown to the Louis Vuitton LVMH Employee Sale. I can't divulge on the secrets of these sales but I can say this time around I'm a happy camper. I managed to snatch up runway sample shoes for both me and Ginny for such an amazing price! I got Ginny the iconic shoe from the Fall 08 show and for me I got a pair of white sneakers with Louis Vuitton perforated on the sides. While I'm not big on wearing the labels on the outside of my clothing I am excited to wear them on my vacation in May and this summer in the city. I am mostly excited about Ginny's shoes, I mean they are out of control! Immediately after the purchase I hand delivered them to her at work where we both just screamed with excitement. They fit her like a glove and she had no problem at all maneuvering in them at her new altitude of around 6'4.

After chatting with Ginny for a while I met up with Scott for our long awaited pet store tour of NYC. We're totally animal geeks and neither of us are ashamed to admit it, pet stores are our prozac. We totally are each others enablers but this time neither of us came away with any out of control new pet project, just tons of ideas of what we want to do next. I had a great time with Scott, we managed to hit up 5 different specialty pet/fish stores, it was overwhelming and exhausting but still so much fun. I came home, plopped down on my bed and took a nap.

I also have tomorrow off, I think I'm going to just lay low, tidy up my room and catch up on my netflix.

I love New York! You never know what it's going to throw in your direction.
